Hello Parents carers and students!
I hope you enjoyed last week’s Miro activity.

I have started putting some of your work up on “Ms Woodbridge’s Wacky World of Art” Facebook page to showcase and share our amazing arty creations!
This week we are going to look at a well-known Pop Artist James Rizzi!

James Rizzi was an American Pop artist best known for his vibrant, youthful graphics and his three-dimensional prints. He was the official artist for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, adorning the famous logo with his noodle-like drawing style.
Here is some examples of his amazing work. James Rizzi’s work was always cartoon like. He loved bright colours and his work was upbeat and positive with happy messages.

There is a street in Brunswick Germany where James has painted / created the happiest buildings in the world! Have a look!

This week you are going to create your own James Rizzi inspired city landscape! Have a look at my demonstration video

Here
You will need

  • Paper
  • Texters
  • Black marker

Obviously if you do not have these things you can use anything else in the house! I have loved seeing them done using highlighters!

I look forward to seeing your amazing happy and bright Rizzi inspired city scapes next week !

Until then…
Stay safe and have fun!!!!
Ms Woodbridge
