Phonics – Letter “g”
To identify and apply the sound to the letter g and write the letter using correct letter formation.
I can say the sound for the letter “g” and write it using correct letter formation.
*Please note some students may be sent different Phonics activities in a separate learning task

Students complete one of the following activities:
Make a garden collage using things found in your garden or while on a walk around the block
Make a goat

Reading: NB: This is today’s submission task
To make text to self-connections.
I can make personal connections to a text.
Listen to the story “When I grow up”
Draw a picture of what you would like to be when you are grown up.
Copy and finish the sentence “When I grow up I want to be…”
Write some words about what you would like to be.
E.g. If you want to be a doctor you could write words like “help”, “medicine”, “sick” etc.
Or if you want to be a builder you could write words like “house”, “tools”, “timber” etc.
Pencils and paper
To recognise and write simple high frequency/irregular words
I can write some high frequency words.
Practise these words by completing some of the following activities.
. Use your magnetic letters.
. Write them in the steam on a mirror in the bathroom.
. Write them in a shallow tray of flour.
.Write them in rainbow colours pencils/textas.
. Make them out of playdoh.
. Make them using lego, pebbles, marbles.
. Use Scrabble tiles to make the words

Shape Graph (in Numeracy handout and attached to compass learning task)
Students are to colour the shapes inside the pig the correct colour (square is blue, triangle is orange, circle is red and the star is yellow). They then need to count how many of a particular shape there is and put it into the correct row on their graph.
